Discovery Day
Discovery Day is a single-site, rotation-based event showcasing several academic schools, programs, centers and departments on the Jackson campus of The University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Discovery Day is designed to expose high school (10th, 11th and 12th grade) and undergraduate student groups to health care and research careers and the educational programs that lead to those careers.
Discovery Day is held in the Norman C. Nelson Student Union, located on the east side of the main campus.
There are a limited number of event days and group slots for each event day. We appreciate your patience as we work to match groups with their preferred dates and accommodate the most student groups possible during the academic year.
We are excited to host high school and undergraduate student groups from across the region for this career discovery and exploration event during the 2024-2025 academic year! Event dates are listed below:

Discovery Day dates for the 2025-2026 academic year will be posted July 1, 2025. Please check back after that date for additional information and to request for your school to attend.
